    Default Clunking around corners

Clunking around corners. '01 Impreza Clunking around corners. Sharp turns only. If I go wide or back up it doesn't do it. Guy I bought from says clutch pack in transfer case is bad. Sound logical?
    thanks

Depends, does the car kinda jump or surge when it happens or does it feel normal and just the noise. It could be the transfer clutches or it could just be a bad axle.

It's definitely more than just a noise. I cringe when it happens. Sounds real bad. Coming from the rear though, not at your feet where the transfer case is. weird.

yeah it sounds like the transfer clutches to me, try getting a small bottle of, and I know it sounds wierd but it works, mopar limited slip diff addative. Put that into your ATF run the car for a few minutes and then make a series of tight turns or a figure 8 for a few minutes. Usually that will do the trick.
