I am 27 and the owner of a 1997 Subbie Outback. My father is also the owner of the same exact car, my mother own a 1999 Subaru Outback. My car got escorted me through college and the many years since. I have driven the thing practically begging for oil. It was rear ended very very very hard about 2 months ago, and the bumper was the only casualty. The other guys car was totaled. I feel safe in it, it is amazing in poor weather conditions, and it's just a low maintenance car that can drive on almost any surface. I love it, and besides new brakes, a new clutch and the fixing of an oil leak, it's been a great car. Hope that helped.
