2000 Legacy Outback Oil Leak

Any idea on how this oil is getting up on the top of the engine. The picture is of the top drivers side of the engine. You can see the puddles of oil but I can't figure out how it is getting up there. Leaks drip down not up. Could this be comming from the head gasket? Thanks

well clean it and check again theirs oil everywhere. Their are many acess plugs for when the engine is torn apart it could be that. and a very very slim chance you have a porus block but that usually turns up soon in the engine's life.

Cleaned the whole motor and puddle formed again with no other signs of a leak. Have yet to check oil pressure sensor.

oil sender unit is dry as a bone.
