    Default '00 legacy slow going into drive

    i have a "00 legacy that is slow going into drive otherwise the transmission functions properly it is only on initial startup it takes 10-15 seconds and some mild RPMs to get it to engage into drive fluid looks and smells good. any advice appreciated thanks Tom

    Sounds like a shifter cable. My car did the same thing. They tend to seize and then stretch causing them not to engage properly. Shifter bushing may need to be changed as well.
