    Default Exhaust estimate

So driving home from work I hear something dragging along the ground. I pull over and see that my catalytic converter has detached itself from the rear muffler and was barely hanging on. Both bolts were still attached and the bolt holes on the converter are pretty eroded, one is absent. I was just wondering 1. what a fair estimate a mechanic would give me to fix this problem and 2. What are my options for repairing this myself?

I figure finding some nuts and bolts at a hardware store that fit can't be too hard. Is this a decent fix? Any other suggestions? Because right now it's being held up by some rope I had in my car at the time haha.

    Thanks
