    Question bumbed out

    Hi folks....
I hope someone can answer these questions before my wife says the following" I told you about buying someone elses' problems!" I just bought a used 98 forrester. First issue is that no matter which gear I am in ( 5 speed) the engine will not rev above 4500rpms.
Second, the engine coolant gauge doesn't move and my heat is very low or non existant. Thed radiator is full but still no heat. I do not smell coolant typical of a heater core malfunction so what else can I look for?
    Thanks, andy

Well, what I did when I experienced the same thing was to contact my mechanic and ask for assistance. Hope that rings a bell.
