Hi everyone,

I am about to purchase a 2000 Outback. It has 140,000 miles on it though. It has new tires and brakes, a new timing belt and has been maintained really well.

Any thoughts on this? Anything that I should be on the lookout for.

I got a good deal on it and it really looks new~ only one little ding on a door.

I don't expect the car to last me forever but I certainly don't want to constantly be dumping $$ into it for repairs. I had an 03 VW Passat before that I bought new and had nothing but trouble, and high repair bills. So for the last year I've been driving around in a 95 Impreza which has been great but not the prettiest of cars, so I'm looking for an upgrade that I don't have to make payments on.

Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks!
Michele
