    Default timing belt

My engine caught fire and the right timing belt burned in half and the engine turned while it was off. How do I fix any problems this would have caused? did it ruin my engine?

If you have a wrx than you have one timing belt. If the belt breakes the most comon cause is valve damage to the left, or drivers side, valves. The piston does not hit the valves, the damage comes from the valves hitting each other. best bet is to take the heads off, make sure the valves on both heads are seating, and if all is ok replace all seals and gaskets.
