View Full Version : legacy stalling out/dying

Girlfriend has a 1992 legacy auto non turbo. It keeps stalling at stops and when you slow down. It almost seems like a vacuum issue but I checked all the vacuum lines and they were good. Anybody have any idea on what else it could be? I was thinking fuel pump posisbly. I just did a tune up for her including plugs and fuel filter. Thanks

Could possibly be a mass air flow sensor.

How does it start and run? Does it stall even when hot? Is the idle speed set to low?
My 93 auto does a similar thing only when the engine is cold.

No check-engine light codes?

We have the same car. Just like dabRain said, mine does it mostly when the engine is cold, did it stall during summer?
