I have a 2000 2.5 RS with 80K miles, and I just got hit with a broken head gasket among other repairs which is going to set me back over $2,000! I love my car and it still drives like new, so I would love to keep it, but I'm concerned that this is one of many future costly repairs. The mechanics told me after this the car should not require any major repairs for a while, and that the engine/car is still in its prime. Is this true? Or will it cost me a lot of money in the near future just to keep the car running in good condition?
