I just bought a 95 legacy outback. Wagons rule! Starting to look for performance parts and get ideas on what to do. Things to look for what i should or shouldn't do. Any one have some ideas?

Well as of right now I want it to be a daily driver with some pep. Lookin to get it in the 180hp range. So fuel system ignition system, header. Maybe some head work or cam and valve train work. Later on down the road I wanna do an STI swap so for now I'm lookin at just getting it faster and reliable. Any thoughts? Thanx

lets draw up a outline so you can plan this out:

1. I always do headers first, I "feel" the most improvement here
2.Cat back exhaust
3.cold air intake
4.oil catch tank
5.Cobb access port + tune

let me know what you think...

Sounds to me like a good place to start. I got the car about 3 weeks ago with 115k and a leaky power steering line. So all I've done so far was fix the line and put in a cd player. As of this weekend I'm doing some over due stuff. Changing all fluids, plugs and wires, timing set, that sort of thing. So I'm going to decide in the next few weeks what I want to do. I've just been having a hard time finding any kinda parts worth anything online. Everything seems to fit 97 and up. Its for the same engine but didn't know what may have changed. Even the header I found was 97 and up. Do you see any issues with getting it or have any sites I should be looking at? Thanx again!

I'm not sure if there is a difference or not...I would call the place you are looking at the parts and ask them.

Wagons are extremely nice, all the extra room and still being able to be a race car. Hope your tune works out good!
