I have a 98 Subaru Legacy GT with 125k miles on it. About a year ago I started getting a shudder when taking off in 1st gear. The shudder would start once the vehicle was warmed up and get worse the more I drove it. Taking off up an incline would be almost impossible if the vehicle had been ran for awhile on a warm day due to the violent shacking throughout the vehicle. My first thought was that the flywheel was warped and that was what was causing it. I had my mechanic install a new clutch, throw out bearing, Flywheel, and the oil separator since it was leaking thinking this would fix the issue. It did not. The mechanic thought we may have gotten a bad clutch kit or fly wheel so he put a brand new one the next week but the problem still existed. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
