Hey All-

The pulley for my A/C belt on my 2002 Impreza is stuck and A/C belt is getting eaten up running over it. Does anyone know if I can just cut the A/C belt and drive without it? Not sure from all the diagrams I've seen if it's necessary for other car functions. I'm out of town and need to drive 2 1/2 hours before getting it fixed.

Thanks.
Eric

I dont think you can. I know on the newer subies 04 up the timing belt runs through those pulleys. Not sure on an 02 but dont do anything drastic.

What in gods name are you talking about??? Yes. It's fine to run the car without a/c belt.

No its not necessary but you might as well do it anyways cause it ain't too much money I don't think. Just had it done 2 days ago along with the timing belt (there goes half my savings haha...kidding).
