I am in the process of replacing the left headlight assembly on my wife 2006 outback and i am having difficulty removing the lens assembly. I have disconnected the electrical plugs and the three mounting screws. Now i am trying to slide the light forward but it seems like the bumper cover is in the way and needs to be removed. Any suggestions? Thanks. Brian

Once you have made a replacement for your headlight assembly, it would also be recommendable to invest in a headlight cover (http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/headlight_cover~pop.html) for protection.
